Eyeing the Valium December 17, 2004

I feel like crap. My hormones are crashing, and I’m experiencing some hard core PMS. Thankfully there’s a Valium hiding within my IVF drug stash begging to be taken. You see, since I had my transfer done under anesthesia this time I couldn’t take the Valium. This is very convenient for the aftermath of the BFN. The Valium didn’t do much for me during my first transfer, but hopefully it will take the edge off of my cramps from hell and overall shitty mood. We shall see.

I’ve been thinking about you.

If you still have the valium, you may want to halve it up.

10 mg. is a large dose. Some people even halve 5 mg. doses. Just in case you want another later? Tylenol P.M. helps me tremendously also - anything for a little peace.

Hey, Julianna. Mine’s only a 5mg dose. No halving here. It actually helped some, although Valium doesn’t seem to affect me as much as it does some people. I’m a fan of Tylenol PM, too, but I wanted something I could take while still remaining conscious.

Sorry to hear about you feeling so crappy. For what it’s worth, you can have all my vicodin too. (Just kidding Blogger people! I am not illegally selling addictive prescription narcotics over the internet!) I got it for the aftermath of the Methotrexate and all it did was make me barf. Maybe you will have better luck with it :)

I hope that Valium is taking the edge off, at least. I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Hoping for better days ahead.

PS: If you’re a bad cat mommy, I’m even worse. One of my kitties is always eating unauthorized things and occasionally even ends up at the emergency vet’s. These beasties are ungovernable!

Amy- I’ve got a stash of Vicodin, too. We have some leftover from my husband’s surgeries. It might come in handy when my period finally shows. I’m sure it will be a doozy. I hope you’re doing ok. I’ve been thinking about you.
