Back to Reality August 2, 2005

Oh, you knew that Hope thing wouldn’t last forever. I’m surprised it lasted as long as it did.

It dawned on me yesterday that maybe my sore boob “symptom” might be from my new friend, the Vivelle patch. This is my first cycle using the patch. I’ve always used Estrace in the past.

I looked in the package insert, and sure enough, breast tenderness and enlargement were listed as side effects. Great. Here I am thinking it could mean something. Shouldn’t I know better by now? The answer is a resounding yes.

This crap sure is fun. Let’s see how many more ways I can come up with to drive myself insane.

Just wanted to let you know I’m thinking of you, along with everyone else here, and hoping the rest of this week goes by fast.

Aw cr@p. Well that’s a kick in the pants. I’m sorry that the ‘normal’ ups and downs of the 2ww have to be duped by drug side effect :(
Still keeping my fingers crossed for you

Y’know, when I was doing all my IVF research, I read so much about how much the 2ww sucked royally. I always assumed it was because of the waaaaaiting. Then I did my first cycle and realized, well, yeah, the waaaaiting does suck, but what makes the 2ww so bad is all the ups and downs. That fickle bitch, Hope, who can’t decide whether to stay or go. The “symptoms” that could be sticky embryo symptoms or just hormonal side effects. But how do you KNOW??! Aaaauuuugggghhhh.

Ahem.

Just a couple more days… hang on, you’re almost there!

Not much longer to wait. I know this is awful, I HATE waiting. Those symptoms are a bitch, making you THINK maybe…what a pain.

Best of luck, I’m still hoping for you.

I think I agree with my infertility therapist, with the hormones we pump into our bodies during IVF, there’s just no telling what the outcome will be based on symptoms.

You had such grade A embies implanted, reason would seem to indicate you have a great chance of success.

Wishing you well.

I agree re the symptoms, they’re a killer. Basically every symptom is either similar to what you’d get before a period, or could be caused by the drugs, or both. Roll on the day that we can detemine implantation in advance and don’t have to wait!

Amanda,
I’m hoping for you today if you lost your hope. Thinking of you!
