Leaving on a Jet Plane December 21, 2005
The mister and I are heading out to sunny California tomorrow to spend Christmas with the inlaws. It looks like I’m getting sick just in time for our vacation. Perfect timing as always. So, between dealing with my ultra sore throat and frustrating myself to no end by attempting to go pants shopping today, I can’t exactly say that I’m in the holiday spirit. Tomorrow is another day, I guess.
I hope everyone has a very happy holiday (or at least survives it in one piece). I’m aiming for the latter, but the former would be a pleasant surprise.

I hope that everything goes well - travel and cold notwithstanding!
Amanda, have a great Christmas. I hope its reasonably fun, and more than anything, I hope its the last one you and DH spend as a 2 person family.
Have a very Merry Christmas Amanda! Hope you have a safe flight.
Hope you DON’T get sick and are able to enjoy the sunshine a bit. Hope your holidays are as happy as possible. And that 2006 KICKS BUTT!!!
Hi! I just discovered your site by accident and it has been very informative for me as I can totally relate with your entries. I’ve just had my first IVF myself and currently in the 2ww. The hard part is I’ll be testing on Christmas.
I recommend Air Bourne if you are just getting sick. It’s a bunch of vitamins that are supposed to boost your immune system if you go into a germy environment or if you are coming down with a cold. I took it yesterday and I feel a bit better already.
Enjoy your holiday trip!
To Tina - My advice to you is NOT to test on Christmas. Enjoy not knowing for an extra day and enjoy your holiday.
I’m full of assvice today :-)
I hope the cold or whatever it is you have is cured up soon and that you have as good a trip as possible!
Hey - I’m in California. I’ll keep an eye out for you. ;) I hope it doesn’t rain on you too much while you’re here… (It’s been a very wet week here in NorCal.)
I hope you have a lovely holiday Amanda, and that illness doesn’t disrupt the holiday too much.
Best wishes for a fabulous (or at least bearable) Xmas!
Happy Holidays Amanda! Hope you have a good time on your trip. :)
I hope you start feeling better and end up having a better time than you’re anticipating!
