My Kind of Belly Shot April 28, 2006

I figured I’ll probably never get to take a real belly shot, so here’s mine. Maybe I’ll even post a series. Instead of 9 weeks, 12 weeks, 20 weeks, etc, mine will be 3 patches and 1 bruise, 4 patches and 2 bruises, and so on and so forth.

As you can tell, I’m running out of real estate pretty quickly. That damn Lovenox bruise is hogging a prime spot. I can’t wait to see what things will look like in a few days. My poor belly.

Oh, and please don’t make fun of my pointy hip bones. That’s just how they are.

Damn! That sucks. You know, the grass is always greener…I wish that I could see where my hip bones are!

Make FUN of your pointy hip bones? I ENVY your pointy hip bones! That bruise is a nasty one…I hope you don’t get too many more, although I know that Lovenox is nasty stuff when it comes to bruises.

Ugh- your poor belly is right. Poor belly, poor you.

4. Cricket - April 28, 2006

I love your belly shot. It is the only kind I can handle. You have hips to die for, only envy here.

5. Julia - April 28, 2006

Who’s making fun?! Damn, girl, I’d look for benefits wherever I could! :)

oh my. what a flat stomach! I’m jealous!! and hip bones! I haven’t seen mine in years. sigh.

okay. enough about me. sorry about the bruise. and the lack of stomach room for the patches. couldn’t you put a patch over the bruise? I have done that before. didn’t know I wasn’t supposed to!

Ouch, your belly looks painful and crowded right now! See, at least you have the normal hips to go with the pointy hipbones. I have pointy hipbones–and very well padded hips. It just doesn’t seem fair. Anyway, I hope the bruise goes away quickly so that you can re-use that area.

Some unsolicited advice from a fellow Lovenox junkie who finally figured out a decent system to avoid bruising.

Ice the area for about 5 minutes before and after giving the shot. Give the shots sitting down and make sure you go straight in, rather than at an angle. I find I bruise much less when I give the shot below the belly button as well.

P.S. - much like the other posters, I’d be thrilled to have hips (and a flat tummy) like yours!

Sigh, if only to have pointy hip bones. :) I can’t commiserate on the brusing or patches yet. Still waiting to get past some of my own trials (ie. myomectomy for fibroids). But, ouch! Hope it gets better for you.

Aw Amanda, that bruise looks painful… but I still think you have a lovely belly.

11. Lala - April 28, 2006

I join in the envy of the pointy hip bones!

You have an even more dry sense of humor than me. I love it!

I had a hard time finding new spots for the patches last time too….and I didn’t even have lovenox to worry about. I also didn’t want them anywhere near my waist band because I was afraid that would make them fall off (good thing for very low rise clothes).

Here’s a question for you. When I went for my accupuncture consultation yesterday, she said the needles would mostly go in my stomach, hands and feet. Well, are the patches going to interfere with the stomach ones I wonder? Also, I was just wondering if you are also having accupuncture done during the 2ww? The lady I went to recommended it but I don’t think I’ve ever heard of anyone doing it for more than a day after the transfer.

Make fun of such a natural wonder? No, I bow down to your hip bones and flat stomach!

You are going to be out of real estate soon, that’s for sure. Lovenox sucks like that, but if it does the trick, I guess it makes it worth it, right?

xoxo

Ooooh I hurt for you…I never had the pleasure of patches, just a series of injections, so my stomach and backside always end up battered and bruised.

These are your battle scars - wear them proudly! Boo boos aside, how are you holding up these days?

15. mm - April 29, 2006

How I can I make fun of your hip bones? I’m too busy convulsing with envy, you hot broad, you! I hope that bruise isn’t as painful as it looks.

16. Karen - April 29, 2006

I love your belly. Mine looked much like yours, except it was fat. I’m thinking about you, sweetie. xoxoxoxox

What are hip bones and where should they be hahaha!

I have to tell you that I am feeling brand new since I started the estradiol on Tuesday! Well, maybe not brand new but certainly miles better than before. Thinking of you, sweetie.

Damn I was going to say something about the hip bones and you beat me too it. Personally, I’m very excited about a bit of competitive bruise-shot posting. Something to look forward to when I start those injections tomorrow…

19. InDueTime - April 30, 2006

Ouch Amanda! But good greif I love your belly! One day I will have a nice tiny belly…one day! Nothing to make fun of for sure.

Your poor belly, and you skinny bitch(kidding)! Whatever! Who needs boobage with abs like that, ha.
