Progress July 7, 2006
We’re making a little progress on several fronts. I went back to the eye doctor on Wednesday, and it appears that the drops have done their job. I even get to start wearing contacts again starting tomorrow. Thank freaking goodness, because I’m beyond sick of wearing my glasses.
Things are starting to come together on the house front. We found out this week that our appliances and backyard sod have been installed which means we can get a few other things going now. Our inspection is scheduled for a week from today, the 14th. That seemed like a good day since we’ll be over in Houston anyway for my OB appt. The completion of those installations has also allowed for our appraisal to be ordered.
It’s nice to have grass in the backyard now. It makes it look like a real house instead of a construction zone.
It’s also nice to see what the kitchen looks like with appliances as opposed to seeing it with holes.
We still have a lot to get done before we close at the end of the month, but we’re getting there. I’m just glad things are moving forward.

Glad you got your eye situation under control.
The house looks beautiful - congratulations! I hope everything goes well for the closing, and that you are feeling well.
I love your kitchen! How exciting to be nearing closing. And congrats on getting to wear glasses again…I had an eye infection about two months ago and couldn’t wear my contacts either. I LOATHE my glasses, my prescription is -8 so needless to say they are total coke bottles, even with the thin lenses.
Congratulations on everything coming together. That’s so exciting! I don’t comment often, but I do read regularly and wanted you to know that I continue to send happy, positive thoughts your way. You deserve this happiness!
Everything looks and sound beautiful! When can we come over? And how are you feeling?
The house is looking great! Hope you are doing well!
Take care
Wow, I’m very impressed! It’s going to be a beautiful house for your family!
What a beautiful kitchen! May you cook many many happy meals in it! And glad to hear your eye is better - I always hate whenever I have to wear my glasses instead of my lenses. Sucks.
Oh, and:
Amanda has an OB appointment! I’m loving it!
Amanda,
The house looks beautiful. That is great that you have a fenced in yard….and it looks like there are lots of big windows which I’m sure your kitties will love!

Thing are really coming along! House is beautiful, almost out of 1st trimester… Great news all the way around!
just saw your blog for first time, sounds like youve really been through it all.Good to see it is coming to a good ending.
I have had 4 iuis , 1 miscarraige (early days),1 failed ivf,1 failed fet and am presently going crazy during the 2 week wait from my second ivf (8dp5dt today).HPT`s showing faint positives from sensitive ones to average ones.Terrified that it is a chemical positive.
Your blog has given me some hope to continue (if this one does not work out). How did you lead a normal life through all of that?
Congratulations and hope all goes well for you in future.
The house is looking GREAT!
