It’s weird moving into your first house. There’s so much to keep up after, sometimes I still long for the days of my one bedroom apt.

Just wanted to wish you luck with the move and welcome you to Texas : ) I live about 20 miles south of Houston for now but will be moving to the westside of Houston soon. I absolutely love it here, even with the traffic! The best advice I can give a new homeowner, especially in this area, is…hire a lawn service! We pay $20 per visit (once a week) and it is SO worth it. What used to take my husband a half-day to finish takes the crew about 10 minutes.
Congrats on the good news with your pregnancy as well!

How exciting! We love owning our home, except when the pipes break–but being able to do whatever we darned well please with every room in the house makes up for that.

Owning a home is one of the greatest (and hardest things) you will ever do. You are lucky that your house is so new, in some ways that will make things easier as you are not re-modeling, which is difficult. A home is a lot of work but it is a great investment and something you will take much pride in! Congratulations!!

On the pregnancy front, I am glad to hear that things are still going well. I am always anxious for more details. :)
